I need a latin name for a monkey/bat?
does it need to be latin or do you mean a scientific name? Scientific names can be greek, or they can have your own name in them eg Johnston's freshwater crocodile is Crocodylus johnstoni

Thats not my name, obviously it wasn't me who discovered the freshwater crocodile of northern Australia. Because I'm too young. And I've never been there.

But if you're making something up, if you want it to be in the same group as a real animal have a look at this list of all the mammal groups: http://animaldiversity.ummz.umich.edu/si...

it is possible that flying foxes (of the family Pteropadidae) evolved from lemurs, which is along the lines of a monkey/bat.
Reply:Owl monkey = Aotus azarae
