I'm just wondering cause my boyfriend is from Mexico %26amp; his last name is Manilla.What does Manila mean??

No, I dont think it's a common name and the only rference I know, manila envelopes (in Latin America) are those yellow big office envelopes but the last name doesn't mean anything.

Reply:Manilla is not the same thing as Manila. They are pronounced differently. To answer your question "manila" is not a common last name, personally I've never heard it as a last name.
