I have a plant that is called a Mexican Heather I need to know anything about it.. Latin name where?

The botanical name is Cuphea hyssopifolia.

Here are some links with information about it. It's commonly found in the following bloom colors: purple, pink and white.

Well, I know they will survive if you don't water them very much - I had some which were neglected and they didn't die (moved from that house and they are still alive and well). They grew about 1-1/2 to 2 feet high and spread very wide- like a ground cover would. They stayed green all year long and the blooms lasted for quite a while, too. Once, I had to trim a couple of them back and it seemed like they came back twice as big!
