Why do a lot of latin or hispanic families name their sons Jesus?

In the UK I don't know of anyone that has named their child Jesus

Why do a lot of latin or hispanic families name their sons Jesus?
Its pronounced differently and somewhat intended to name their son after the Christian religious Christ. Its a cultural thing, mostly, since many hispanics are very religious.

Milagros (Miracle), Concepcion (Conception), Maria (Mary), Jose (Joseph), Gabriel (Angel), a lot of hispanic names are based off of biblical people in the Catholic/Christian religion.
Reply:Because they have a lot of unexplained pregnancies!

Chaching!

"I didn't cheat on you... it was an immaculate conception!"
Reply:Jesus is just the Spanish version of Joshua, which is a perfectly common name in the UK.
Reply:lol they tend to be deeply religious unlike the uk.
Reply:They like the name I guess. Maybe they feel it brings purity depending on their beliefs.
